Karma over at Karma’s When I Feel Like It posted a photo hunt challenge for this month. There’s still time to join if you’d like, since she extended the deadline to the 30th of June. Good thing, because I obviously didn’t make the original deadline of the 22nd. But I’m ready now! I think.
Join me in the garden for a bit of a refreshment, won’t you? The doorway, table and chairs and bicycle were a set my Kat gave me a few years ago, the hobbit type guy is one I got at a craft fair more years ago and the bear caught my fancy at a shop in Sisters, OR an in-between number of years ago. It seemed right for them all to be together.
Cat in the Hat. Dr. Seuss calling.
These boots were made for walking. These were husband’s boots and I mounted one on the side of the tree thinking just maybe some birds would use it for a nest – Wrens, perhaps? – then liked the whimsy of the boot coming down the side of the tree trunk, so I added the second one.
Peek-a-boo. The littlest of my resin frogs peeking out from inside the gourd – one of the gourds Kat brought me years ago that I thought I’d paint – but didn’t get to it before it opened a door. The frog’s sibling and parents surround the gourd, but did not wish to be included in this photograph.
And finally, the Pieman and his dog. A clay figure Kat made many years ago when clay figures were what she was doing; the dog was adopted by the Pieman more recently.
Thank you, Karma, for another fun challenge!
I absolutely adore the boots coming down the tree!

These are all so much fun! Do the birds/critter love the boots? I have one of my dad’s old boots out in a flower bed. It’s home to a few kinds of seedum.

I’m thinking I need some whimsy in my garden too. Love the boots on the tree! I’ve seen faces that can be mounted on tree trunks too. 🙂 “Cat in the hat” made me giggle. xo

Carol, I would have totally missed this post (must have been at the birthday party when you posted it) so am glad Karma did a wrap-up. Enjoyed the whimsy, especially those boots made for walkin’.
