There has been little time or remaining energy at the end of the day to post on this trip, but this morning is to be a slow-starting day, so I thought I would join Cee again and share a little more of my world as well as a few random photos taken around Santa Fe.
1. When was the last time you sat on a park or garden bench for more than ten minutes? Describe the occasion. Do the chairs on my front deck count? I sat out on the deck several afternoons before I left on my trip for half an hour or so each afternoon. It’s so peaceful out there, and I love watching the birds and the green branches of the trees and shrubs dancing in the breeze.
2. Would you ever be interested in observing a surgery or do you turn away when the nurse brings out the needle? No, No, No!! Could not do that. Could not, would not.
3. Where’s your favorite place to take out-of-town guests? The obvious answer in our area – Crater Lake, then over the mountain to Becky’s Cafe at the headwaters of the Rogue River. Becky’s has great hamburgers and pies, and I never tire of watching the Rogue rush through it’s narrow canyon.
4. If you had an unlimited shopping spree at only one store, which one would you choose? Why? Again, in my town probably Fred Meyer’s because they have everything there – garden things, clothing, groceries, fun stuff – I could indulge every whim there. Or if the store doesn’t have to be in my area, how about Amazon? Wow! I could really indulge every whim there!
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I am grateful for the opportunity to spend time with The Artistic One and with my brother and sis-in-law. I am looking forward to seeing some of Utah on the trip home and getting home to my Bailey girl and the brat cats.
I love it Carol..thank you.

Deck sitting definitely counts….but I think it’s been since last summer that i’ve had time for that! I always live seeing the bronze creations in Santa Fe. I think I remember that last one. Magnificent! Wish I could afford them.

I absolutely love the photos but that last one satisfies a love of mine and Jeff’s love of eagles. Do you know the name of the sculpture/artist?
And Amazon. YES!

Hard question! I don’t recall the name, but perhaps when I upload pictures to the camera I’ll be able to tell or I might have picked up a brochure.

Good answers! So glad you had a nice time with The Artistic One! I love all the photos, but the old truck by the stone wall brings to mind not just a very different place, but it transports us to another time.

I loooooved the Rogue River. We visited several times when I was in my teens. I think that’s were we did the shallow water mail boat rides and, one time, stayed at a cabin way up the river.

Yes, They do the shallow water jet boat rides from Grants Pass and the coast. We’ve gone a couple of times.
