Share Your World – 2015 Week 15

Do you ever wonder how much more I can possibly have to share? Do you sometimes think I’ve already shared too much? Not my fault, you know – Cee keeps asking these questions – just blame it on her.

1. List 2 things you have to be happy about? I’m alive. I still have all my faculties, even though they might have dulled a little bit with time and use.

2. Do you prefer ketchup or mustard or mayonnaise? Well, now, that just depends on what I’m eating it on, don’cha know? If I’m having a hamburger patty sans bread, it would be ketchup. If I’m having a hamburger patty on a roll, it would be mayonnaise. Mayonnaise on sandwiches, for the most part. Mustard with a hot dog or sausage link – other than pork sausage.

3. If you were to paint a picture of your childhood, what colors would you use? For some reason, reds and golds come to mind, although that certainly doesn’t fit with the psychology of those colors.

4. Do you prefer a bath or shower? Shower, most of the time. The idea of a nice hot bath in a deep tub, with lit candles and a glass of wine, sounds like heaven – but the truth is, when I do that I get antsy very quickly or the water cools too quickly and I never linger as long as I thought I might.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I am grateful that I made it to Santa Fe to spend time with the Artistic One. I am looking forward to going down to visit my brother and his wife tomorrow for a couple of days, then returning to spend a few more days in Santa Fe.

This week, a few photos taken when we drove around Santa Fe a little bit on Saturday, where we stopped at some sculpture galleries.

I like the frog statue. You always bring such delight to our answers. Red and gold go well together strong bold colors. Have a good time with your brother and sis-in-law. Thanks for sharing Carol.

I always say if bathtubs came with heated water, then it might be worth the trouble; but I am a shower person. Even warm water probably wouldn’t be enough to entice me. A bath isn’t practical. Maybe they aren’t meant to be. Now I’m picturing the old movies with the wash tub sitting in the middle of the room, heating and carting the water to it, and sitting in the dirty water. It’s no wonder that showers made their way into homes!

Santa Fe looks fun. I love the rabbit statue 🙂

Cee’s questions always require answers with conditions: mayonnaise if this, ketchup if that. Shower mostly, but bath if…
I kind of like all the condiments on my burger, but in a small amount so that it’s not messy.
    Love the book arch!

  10. Reds and golds sound good to me because they’re the color of autumn, my favorite season hands down. I don’t much care for ketchup in general; I actually prefer mustard on most things, including French fries. 🙂

Santa Fe looks cool in your photos. That’s one place I’d really like to visit. 🙂
