Share Your World – 2014 Week 26

Made it! Barely – but before the next week challenge is issued, so I think that counts.

1. Is your refrigerator, organized or a mess inside? I’m glad Cee didn’t ask if my refrigerator is spotless inside. It’s organized quite well, although that does require constant redoing, but it’s not spotless.

2. If you could be famous for one thing, what would it be? Making people happy, I guess. I’m not at all sure I’d like to be famous, but I do like it when people around me are happy. And I do like it when those of you who read my blog like it.

3. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? Take a ride in a hot air balloon. Take a road trip through western Europe. Go rafting on a river.

4. Where do you eat breakfast? In my morning room, when I eat breakfast at all. I eat when I’m hungry, and some days that doesn’t happen until lunch time.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? Last week one late afternoon Shasta let out a yelp and then limped in to me – I didn’t see what happened, but apparently she jumped off the bed and pulled a muscle. I am grateful that after a couple of anti-inflammatory pills (Bailey shares) and a day or two, she returned to her normal self. Without a trip to the vet. This coming week I look forward to my kids arriving for their summer visit.

A gallery of photos now – more from our trip a couple of weeks ago – a couple of pretty flowers, one fluffy one frilly; a couple of puppies, one swimming, one watching; a couple of interesting lichens on trees; and a happy frog on a window.

Ah yes. Organized fridge, but not spotless. I can relate. As for breakfast, I’m almost always hungry, but I don’t eat until after Petey’s morning walk, which get my appetite going. But don’t feel bad about not eating: new research shows (unsurprisingly, I think) that it’s not detrimental to skip breakfast if you just eat when you’re hungry.
Love the blooms. And the pup with the stick – dog + stick = happy time 🙂

Organized and refrigerator? I know not of these things. But Entrepreneur will occasionally swoop in and rearrange it to his liking. I’m just happy when everything fits in it. A hot air balloon ride is definitely on my bucket list. And I do so hope Shasta is on the mend. Bailey is such a good sister to share. 🙂

I am glad to hear that you only eat when you’re hungry. That is a wonderful attribute! I eat too often out of boredom or restlessness and, like you, our frig is organized but very rarely spotless.

  8. I agree with Kathy that you’re so disciplined that you only eat when hungry; I too eat out of boredom or restlessness, and thus am always having to battle my weight. I’ve done two out of your three wishes: hot air balloon and white water rafting, and I would also love a road trip through Europe. I love your frilly flower, and I’m glad Shasta is okay. I know I’m very late reading this, but I hope you had a great time with your kids on their summer visit. 🙂
