I just opened a post by Sparks From a Combustible Mind – Melanie found the post from https://aguycalledbloke.blog/2018/12/02/daily-fun-three-2/ – that intrigued me – and, since Alexa just informed me it’s National Fritter Day, I’m in the midst of frittering away my day. Because it’s my national duty, you know. Melanie (and Rory) say good things come in threes, so the object is to name three of each of the below:
Breakfast Cereals? Cheerios, Wheaties, Frosted Flakes
Types of Trees? Oak, Maple,Poplar
Things that are Orange? Oranges (surprise!), male Baltimore Orioles, pumpkin
Female Singers? Carrie Underwood, Lauren Daigle, Barbra Streisand
Popular Internet Websites? Google. Google. Google. Because that’s all that’s popping into my mind that I’m certain is a website and is popular. Well, I guess there’s Facebook – but I use the app for that. This is what happens when one spends most of her time on an iPad instead of an actual computer. Oh, wait! Amazon. Instagram.
Sunday Activities? Frittering the day away. Whatever I might feel like. Oh yes, and whatever I might feel like doing.
Dinosaur Species? How much do I remember from Jurassic Park, is that what you’re asking? That’s been awhile, because the first one was enough for me. Tyrannosaurus. The flying one. Then there’s a couple that are little guys. Okay, you can see I’m not well versed in the topic of dinosaurs.
Three States in the USA? [Counties in England or States in Australia or relevant to you] Oregon, California, New York. I could go on with this question, I know of 50. There’s also D.C. and Puerto Rico, which are not technically states, but. . .
Types of Musical Instruments? Clarinet. Oboe. Flute. At least I know more about musical instruments than I do dinosaurs.
Unexplained Mysteries or Strange Unexplained Phenomena? This one might test me. The Bermuda Triangle. UFOs. Sasquatch. Ha! Did it! Oh yes, and what happened to Jon Benet?
Books you reread over and over again? I read quite a few books, but it’s unlikely I’ll ever read a book more than once, unless I stumble across one I don’t recognize and halfway through realize I did indeed read this one years ago. I rarely watch movies more than once either. Or TV shows – although I did go rewatch the last episode of This Is Us last night because I kept reading articles that mentioned things I had not noticed. I resolved some of those things, but there is one comment that I still haven’t seen, which was supposedly a future scene showing Toby and Randall, neither of whom were wearing wedding rings. Did anyone else see that?
Films, that can never watch again? I can think of one – Natural Born Killers, which I couldn’t even watch all the way through the first time. And there was one with John Travolta that was super violent, the name of which I don’t remember. A problem here is that I don’t remember titles very often. Failing this one.
Exercises you do each week? There is one exercise I actually do every single day, more than once each day, and that is the exercise of telling myself I need to go do some chair yoga. Now. Oh wait, let me do this first. An hour later, I tell myself . . . You get the drift. It’s apparently an exercise in futility. I’m good at those.
Human traits you simply cannot abide? Dishonesty. Jumping to conclusions (although I am guilty of that sometimes). Ignoring facts. A one word answer would be Trump.
Yesterday when I woke up, this is what I saw:
Beautiful, but I’m not thrilled with it. She, however, likes it:
This was a fun post to read. 😀 😀

Best answer so far today 🙂

Awww, thanks. So are you saying I’m at my best when I display my ignorance?

Not at all, l just loved the honesty 🙂

I ways joking there because sometimes my ignorance makes itself well known – like when thoughts that should not be said aloud pop out at awkward times.

Aw, laying down in the snow…..looks happy as a clam. Jon Benet is still making the cover of the Enquirer…

Well, you know – they can’t talk about Trump, so Jon Benet is next.

You and I are like sister souls on opposite coasts. Most of my answers would match yours. I too fritter away too much time and keep putting off exercises, including chair yoga. Those chair yoga icons on my iPad are patiently waiting. My mom used to say, “The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.” I call him (you know who) 45 rather than saying his name.

Depending on how irritated/agitated/stupefied I am, I also refer to “him” as tRump. Free speech, right? Which, of course, he’d like to ban.

Aw. Glad I could bring some distraction to your day.. 😉 Well RORY did that, I just helped. It did that white thing here too (finally) but Huny is NOT AMUSED. She goes out, does the necessary and wants back in immediately. The fire might explain it…she loves to bask! Great answers Carol!

the Travolta movie: Pulp Fiction?
I also only like to read/watch things once, except older tv series. I’m currently (literally as I’m typing) on my 3rd round of “Medium” cause they show it in order and it’s a good mix of watchable and not mattering if I miss huge chunks or entire episodes.
I thought that first pic was b/w then finally realized it was snow. Wow!!

Yes, thank you. Pulp Fiction it was. Yes, snow. Something not seen in your neighborhood. Lucky you.

there are historical recordings of it snowing in Malibu, Anaheim, and Watts but I recall the Watts “snow” looking like piles of hail… so I’m suspicious of the other events.

I’ve learned that many people around here literally do not know there is a difference between hail and snow!!

Hey, they’re both white, right?
