Unexpected change

I just opened Melanie’s post with these questions, which she got from A Guy Called Bloke and they looked fun, so I’m joining in.

Right now, right this minute what could happen that would change your life totally for the better? If an elf or fairy were to come by with a fat envelope stuffed with $1000 bills, I would be deliriously happy. Watch out, life, here I come! I have everything else in this life that I want, so this would be the cherry on top of the sundae.

How well do you handle changes in your life, to your life or to your regular routines? It depends on the change really. Some changes are easy to accept, other less so.

If you could jump into a pool of something odd [not water] what would it be? Aloe Vera gel. I’m sure I could relax and float in it, and it would be oh so soothing to the skin.

What would be so much better if you could simply change the colour of it? Gray skies. To something like, maybe, blue. With a yellow orb in the center of it.

If you had a time machine, would you go back in time or visit the future and would you change anything? This one draws a political answer from me – I’d go back to the 2016 election and knock it off it’s foundation. Although, every once in awhile, I wonder if the current White House occupant was sent to wake the Congress from it’s ridiculous partisanship. If so, it doesn’t seem to be working.

Do you prefer dogs over cats or cats over dogs? Yes.

How would you react if you were unexpectantly changed into a frog? I’m pretty sure I’d croak. Teehee

Wite a random sentence about blogging without using the letter G. Okay, I see what you did there. The very subject has two of the offending letters. Let me just say that I sometimes enjoy the process of writing, spewing my opinions and nonsense all over the world.

If you could do the world over, what would you change? See time machine question. I would make the world more centrist, less radical, more tolerant and accepting of differences. I would rid the world of all nuclear weapons and some that are not nuclear.

Why did you do that? Because I think it would be better for all of us.

If you disinvent something, what would it be and why? Anger. Is that something that can be disinvented?

You have been gifted an elephant – you cannot give it away, donate it or sell it – what are you going to do with your elephant? I am going to fence in my yard, get my elephant some goat playmates, and teach it to use the outdoor toilet.

What are your values with regards your life? To live as best I can, to do no harm, to be as honest as I can.

Who do you prefer to spend the most time with? Myself? Sometimes. My adult kids. My close friends. My dog and cats.

Which is worse, falling over or not getting back up again? Well, really – not getting back up again! Although at my age, falling could do enough damage to slow that down considerably.

If the currency was happiness and goodwill, what job would you perform? Any job where I was needed – assuming of course that I am independently wealthy enough to cover my costs of living.

You have lost your Internet connection for ten days, there is no internet connection within 50 miles of where you live. it matters not about what you use to connect, it simply isn’t happening – what will you do for those ten days? Okay, wait – question – do I have cell service? Because I could use that to access Amazon, and text my people. and I would bitch – a lot – and frequently. Then maybe I’d actually do some things that need to be done around here, because what else is there?

And I would smell the lilacs.

  1. Oh beautiful flowers!! My bushes have both bloomed amazingly this year, but everything is too wet to go and gather the blossoms while I may! I LOVED that frog answer too….”I’d croak”…. oh dear. BWAHAHAHAHA!!! Thanks Carol for a laugh! 🙂

Well, those $1,000 bills would be welcome around here too. Though I don’t know, maybe I wouldn’t change all that much even if they did descend. Travel more maybe, come visit you. Definitely buy an RV or trailer. I have trouble with change, but I’m pretty sure I’d be OK with that change. Now, the elephant….well…I’d take it for a walk of course! If I get attention walking through a campground with Katie just THINK of the attention I’d get with an elephant. I think I’ll call her Ruby. And Ruby and I would decide together what to disinvent. Perhaps guns. If NO ONE had guns….it’s a thought. And as for falling down….well of course it’s not the falling down that is the problem, it’s not being able to get up. So as long as we help each other get up…well, the world will be a better place.

Those $1000 bills might buy me a small home on the coast and it would take me traveling, that’s all I’d want. Some spring or fall in Michigan and we could eat something different. I thought about guns, but they were used for hunting which made survival easier. Now I see no use for assault type weapons.

Ha ha Carol, nicely played – The frog one was a classic, but then the oldies are always the goodies – nicely done and many thanks for playing the game 🙂

Reblogged this on A Guy Called Bloke and K9 Doodlepip! and commented:
Carol played question Frun tackling both the Frog Question and the Elephant question with style and of course, if she was successful at potty training an elephant, we have found her the perfect job which when it comes to be paid in love and happiness and goodwill she will be swimming in cash and not so much aloe 🙂

  8. Great answers Carol and except for the bit about adult kids (because I haven’t any) mine would be pretty similar. I love the idea about the aloe vera gel. If you see that envelope wielding elf send him my way will you please?

I have very similar answers, except my pool would be filled with milkshake – only because I recall that I once had a convo that somehow veered into the thought that I’d love to be sitting it a tub filled with milkshake. No idea why… but the reaction of others, who acted like I was martian, seared the thought into my memory (I still think it sounds enjoyable).

If you get that fat envelope of $1,000 bills, do send some along! We could use some extra for the Italy trip, lol. However, smelling the lilacs seems to be a most lovely thing, doesn’t it?

Your time machine/world changes answers are spot on. Maybe we could crowdsource that baby and see about straightening up the crazy we’ve got going on around here…

A fun and interesting post showing then inner workings of your mind! Falling into tip of aloe vera laced with frankincense would be awesome! It won’t matter to the politicians who is in the oval office. We live in an age of “if you don’t think like me, you’re wrong.” If guns were not a problem, something else would be…..bombs, chemical warfare, etc. On this side of heaven, there will always be a way to wreak havoc and destruction on others. No internet? No big problem. An inconvenience to our need-in-now mentality, yes, but life functioned uninterrupted for thousands of years without it. 🙂 And, it really cannot hold a candle to those lilacs. I hope you have a “blue sky with a yellow orb” kind of day. xoxo
