Share Your World – 3/26/19

There is blue sky and sunshine outside the windows where I am – spending their spring break with my daughter and her friend who lives in a high density housing area – nice, but without a lot of privacy and space – and so closed window coverings. I think it’s a bit sad to not be able to enjoy what nature offers.

Which has nothing to do with anything – but here I am, ready to play with Melanie and share some more of my world, along with many others.

What is the best pick me up that you know of?  To shake you out of the blues? Going for a walk – preferably in sunshine, preferably on the beach.  Cuddling with my furry loved one. Remembering good times spent with loved ones, or, even better, spending time with loved ones, of the human variety.

What would be the title of your memoir? Life is One Big Learning Experience, because I think it is. Each and every corner turned in my life has left me with new knowledge, some of it learned the hard way. Each and every new adventure has done the same. Sometimes it’s a roller coaster, sometimes it’s smooth sailing, but always there is something to be learned.

Where do you like to go when you eat out? Some place different, some place with good food that’s not unhealthy. Anyplace, within reason, if I’m in the company of those I care about and enjoy spending time with. Some place comfortable, not stodgy, not pretentious.

Do you believe in luck? Definitely. I realize the choices we make have the most control over how our lives go, but there is also a lot of being “in the right place at the right time” involved – which I see as luck.

Gratitude Question:

Aside from necessities, what is one thing you couldn’t go a day without? Light. I need light in my life. The ability to see some of the outside world, but with the ability to spend time in it as I choose. Someone/something I love – a furry friend works most of the time. I cannot imagine living without a furry friend. Opportunities to communicate when I wish to. Freedom.

The very best part of all of this – I have all of that. I have enough.

  1. That’s really beautiful Carol! And it’s great you can spend time with your daughter, even if there isn’t quite the nature views that you’re used to! Thanks for Sharing Your World! 🙂

    nice answers!
my last apt had one wall exposed to the beach and the other to a neighbor’s house, about 4′ away. I still kept the curtains open on that side most of the time… sometimes I’d watch the teen grandson and his friends playing computer games (cause our windows aligned)

I agree with all you said. I’d say the same things. Well, maybe I’d have a different title on my memoir, but yours is a concept I believe to be true.

Happy you got to spend time with Kat. Your pics of the beach on FB were fantastic. My memoir would probably be titled, “Outside the comfort zone…all the time.” With illustrations, of course. 🙂 I agree I cannot imagine going through life without a fur baby at my side. Hope your week is starting off well.

I love your answers. Cuddling our furry critters always picks me up when I’m down. And the light is also pretty critical to my frame of mind.
