Sitting here, watching the snow melt, dog treats in the oven, seems like a good time to play with Melanie and share some more of my world.

Do You Have Any Guilty Pleasures? I’m sure I do. But if guilty pleasures are those that are kept secret, I can’t think of a one. Maybe sometimes, that one extra glass of wine in the evening.

What Is The Worst Pick Up Line You Ever Heard?  OMG! It’s been so darn long since anyone has used a pick up line on me, how could I possibly remember? I’m quite happy not having to deal with that anymore. One of the nicest things that’s been said to me in a while though was when a clerk at Dollar General requested my ID because I was buying wine. I thanked him.

            For the guys: What’s The Worst Pick Up Line You’ve Used?

What Slang Or Trend Makes You Feel Old? I think the jogging trend, the young, lithe women in leggings and tight tops with absolutely not a tiny bit of cellulite – or a saggy muscle – they make me feel old. And jealous. I never looked that toned.

What Do You Consider The Most Over-rated Song? Hmm. Probably any song sung by Janis Joplin – or, for that matter, The Rolling Stones. I don’t like the raucous, loud rock stuff. Old ears.

Instead of a Tender Mercies question, here’s a philosophical one instead:

You Find A Book And Begin To Read Only To Discover That It Is Your Life. You Get To The Point That You Are At Now, Do You Turn The Page Knowing That You Will Not Be Able To Change The Events To Come? I think not. If it had an ending I did not like I would continually stress over it, probably bringing my real ending on much more quickly than it might have been. Besides, if I could not change any coming events, I’d be giving up all control, wouldn’t I? That’s not something I do well.

The Purple Finches are visiting my feeders, and this morning i also saw a Lesser Goldfinch. Signs of Spring! Hallelujah!
