I haven’t accepted Melanie B Cee’s challenge for awhile – because I haven’t been in the mood. This week I am, so here I go.
Is there one post on your site that is really special to you? (credit for this one goes to CrushedCaramel ) I think every time I post it’s to fill some kind of need, something my brain is insisting I say, nonsensical or otherwise. So I think probably all of my posts are special to me – at least at that moment. I think blogging is kind of a mental health exercise for me.
How Do You Deal With Negative People? (Athling2001 gets credit for this one) Depends on my mood, I guess. If the topic is not something I’m passionate about, I will try to change the subject to something more upbeat, then make my escape as soon as possible. If the subject is something I’m passionate about and we disagree, it could be less pleasant.

Would You Rather Be Able To Talk With The Animals Or Speak All Foreign Languages? Oh gosh. If my budget permitted traveling to lots of places, I would pick speaking all foreign languages. Since it does not, I’d like to be able to understand what animals are thinking. That darn lolling tongue my Shasta has makes it hard for her to enunciate the words.
November is a month in which many people give thanks. America (and other countries) celebrate an actual Thanksgiving Day. For example, Canada celebrates this in October.
This month the gratitude question will address your life and what things you’ve received or done, that have brought you joy and sometimes relief perhaps.
What small thing happened today (or in the past few days) that you were grateful for? I think my gratitude is most often for the same things – getting up each morning able to be upright, having family that I love and loves me back, friends, my furry girl – the critters outside my window. The space around me, offering peace and solitude when I want it. Today – being Election Day – which I know is after the “past few days” I am just grateful it’s going to be over and hopeful we’ll find a higher path to follow than where we’ve been.
I’m grateful for the critters that visit:
