The gloom of November hangs over my world today, with skies of gray promising rain. This is not a complaint, because skies with rain are perfectly acceptable in my world. Unusual this time of year, but most acceptable. Gray skies make me think “nap” – which I’ve promised myself I can have later in this day. Because I deserve it.
In the meantime, it’s time to share my world once again, attempting to give coherent answers to questions from Cee.
Would you prefer a reading nook or an art, craft, photography studio? An art and craft studio, which I have more or less created in what was meant to be my living room – redundant, I thought, since I also have a family room which is the room that is used the most. Living alone, a nook to hideaway in to read is not necessary. There are benefits to having a whole house to oneself – like reading whenever wherever I want. Like having complete control over the TV remote.
Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.) I am feeling sunny. A whole lot brighter than Mother Nature is feeling, I can tell you. Because – I have decided in this world what will be, will be, and I have no control whatsoever over it, so I might as well express my feelings when I wish but beyond that, not let it consume me. Deal with each day as it comes.
If you could witness or physically attend any event past, present or future, what would it be? Hmmm. Maybe Lincoln’s Gettysburg address, except that was in the midst of a war, so probably not. On the ship recovering a returning astronaut might have been interesting and exciting. Oh, future counts – I think the inauguration of the next president. The new one we elect in 2020. As long as it’s not Roy Moore.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. I appreciated my son being here for a week, or nearly a week. I appreciated having him and friends in for Thanksgiving Dinner, which was not a fail. That might inspire me to invite people over more often.
Now, to share my little friends. What are Whatzits all about? Whatzits are all about having fun!
