Here it is, another week of life – steadily forward we go. It is quieter in my home now, just Shasta and me, but we are adjusting and we will heal while we miss Bailey’s presence. It’s the way life goes, isn’t it? We gain, we lose but remember, we move forward. Because the other option is not really an option.
So I’m here once again, sharing with Cee and all of you.
If you had to move to a country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? I don’t know. One with a lower cost of living for certain. Perhaps Ecuador – but around Cuenca, in the mountains, where the temperatures are more moderate with less humidity. The concept of Tuscany has long called to me, but I suspect it’s not especially affordable. The Greek Isles also appeal, but again, the affordability could be an issue. In all probability, if I were to move to another country, it would probably be whatever one one of my kids was in at the time.
What color would you like your bedroom to be? Neutral. It’s now neutral tans. I like most of my walls to be neutral so I can add colors in accessories, because I get tired of colors far too quickly. I change my mind – more frequently than I would want to paint walls.
What makes you Happy? Make a list of things in your life that bring you joy. My kids. My friends. My Shasta girl. Sunshine. Birds singing. The scent of freshly mown lawn. Wood fires. Flowers blooming. Small wild creatures romping around. The colors of fall. The new growth in spring. Sunrises, sunsets. Shall I go on?
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. I think this quote is what strikes me most just now:
“Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless he’s owned a dog. A dog can show you more honest affection with a flick of his tail than a man can gather through a lifetime of handshakes.” – Gene Hill
