I see through my window clouds, snow and frost-coated trees. It is the season of white, gray and muted greens. I want sunshine. In lieu of that, I’ll join Cee and others in sharing.
1. Do you believe in extraterrestrials or life on other planets? I don’t know. Sometimes I do, other times I’m not so sure. If they exist, I would hope they are more loving, kinder, and more generous than we seem to be these days. I know, I know, the voice of gloom here!
2. How many places have you lived? You can share the number of physical residences and/or the number of cities. Oh my. I think I did a blog about this once upon a time. More places than I can count, or recount. Something like 40, I believe. Maybe even more, I lost accurate count long ago. My father was an asbestos worker, and jobs rarely lasted more than a few months, so we were on the move frequently. I’m sure there were years that my mother wondered why she even bothered to unpack.
3. If you given $22 million tax free dollars (any currency), what is the first thing you would do? There are some charities I would want to support – St. Jude’s hospital for one; shelters for homeless – maybe even build a village of tiny houses, which is being done some places; shelters for abused women and children. Then I would take my neighborhood friends on a cruise to places that are warm with sandy beaches. My kids and I would spend time on the coast this next summer. Relax. I would just relax.
The Never List: What are things you’ve never done? Or things you know you never will do? I have never and will never:
1. Bungee jump.
2. Jump out of an airplane – unless it’s do that or be certain to die.
3. Eat some of those things they sell on skewers in China.
4. Go over Niagara Falls in a barrel – or any other way, for that matter.
5. Run for political office.
6. Knowingly spread hatred and anger, nor will I vote for someone who does.
7. Claim to be a gourmet.
8. I know there are more things that fit in this category, but they will not come to mind until after I post this.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? My gratitude is usually for many of the same things, week after week. Time with my friends, quiet time alone with my furry girls, a warm home, hearing from my kids. I look forward to the more of the same.
We’ve had snow 2x so far this year. Once maybe 6 weeks ago…and then yesterday and today. Even though we’ve had much less winter than you I am also sooooo over it! I agree with you about every single thing you say you won’t do. I’m not doing any of those either.

I like your photos…..I would never be considered a chef. Maybe not the worst in the US but close. 😀

Carol — I love the list of ways you would use that money!

Oh now you have me thinking of the charities I’d like to support, if I had that much money!!

I forgot one – the Humane Society.

Oh Carol, it’s terribly early for you to be so over winter already. Might need to start buying lottery tickets so that you can get the whole neighborhood outta dodge for a bit this season 😉

Bought one lottery ticket, and had the usual result – $0. I’ll try again when the pot is smaller, fewer people are buying and the chances are better.

I used to love swimming. Now there is no convenient place to do that.

The Never List….all of them! Yes!! I totally agree. I believe you win with the number of moves. That would have driven me mad. I’m sure she never had time to “collect” a bunch of stuff! And I’m so over winter as well. Love your warmer shots. I’ll have some new ones to share in about a month or so. 🙂
