I’m late to the party this year, because Kat and I have been very busy sitting around. However, the week has not yet ended, so I am going to join in and share.
1. Favorite thing to photograph? Write? Or Cook? To the first part of this question, the answer could easily be birds and squirrels, but really more accurately it would be whatever catches my eye. And to write? Whatever pops into my brain. To cook? Anything that can be put together in advance during morning hours when I still feel like I might do something. The slow cooker is my friend.
2. Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing? My favorite kind of swinging was by my knees, hanging from a tree branch or a clothesline pole or whatever else might have been available. There were some poor choices made of places from which to hang, and I have the scars to prove it. Do I still get excited when I see a swing? Not really, although every now and then, swinging feels good.
3. What has surprised you about blogging? The friendships that are formed, a feeling of being bonded and invested in the lives of your bloggy friends. As a side note here, why does autocorrect think I want the word bloody when I type bloggy?
List at least five favorite desserts. 1. chocolate. 2. chocolate 3. chocolate 4. chocolate 5. cheesecake
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I am grateful we made it over the mountains safely to pick up Kat. I am grateful she arrived safely. The week has almost passed now, but I was and am looking forward to spending time with her.
The early part of the trip over the mountains, before we’d gotten high enough to see the three feet of snow they had up top
When my boys were little, I used to love to swing with them in my lap. I’d recite Robert Louis Stevenson’s poem, “The Swing,” which I have memorized.
“How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!…”
Swinging with them and doing this was one of the best memories I have of them growing up.
You all have a lot of snow!! Here we finally have a cold and windy day, but blue skies.
Have fun with Kat!

Sounds like you and Kat are having a great time then 🙂
I’ve been surprised by the same thing about blogging, but have yet to have autocorrect insist that any of us are “bloody friends.” Maybe your autocorrect is set to British slang?
I think you left a “chocolate” off the list 😉
Happy Holidays Carol! ❤

The slow cooker is my friend, too, and for the same reason… Love your dessert choices, too. 🙂

Spell check does come up with some strange things at times. I am glad you have that while stuff. It is pretty but not fun to drive in. Can you believe amount of precip we are having…I love it. 😀

LOL, love your answer to list 5 favorite desserts – I’m totally with you on that one.
Still no snow out here in Massachusetts, and strangely mild weather this month. Christmas Eve is forecast to be about 60 degrees! Wild.
