I have a few more photos from this year’s Portland trip to share. A few more of those memories that help fill this empty nest.
The view from the car as we headed to lunch at Teote, an Argentinian restaurant in southeast Portland.
Lunch was delicious, conversation was good, we were all happy.
A ceiling fixture that caught my eye while I waited for lunch.
My son, debonair in his hat and beard
Off to Powell’s Books, because a trip to Portland is not complete without that visit.
My daughter, in her element (anything that involves cats for the Kat, you know).
Some street views, as we wandered about deciding where we should have dinner.
Decision made, dinner at Henry’s Tavern not far from Powell Books – a stained glass window in Henry’s.
Although few of the photos I take ever get printed, those digital files will not fade with time and will offer tangible evidence to back up memories, to remind me of the good times, the beauty around us, the little adventures life offers. The reminder that I am blessed to have enough.
Sweet memories, ey? But I’m sure you’d rather have the kids close by. All mothers wish for that. I remember mine wishing similar things. Still…how wonderful when they come to visit. Love Portland too, and I’ve never been there. I’ve heard of the bookstore though. It’s on my bucket list.

Richard and I thought Portland was a great city, and easy to get from place to place.
