It seems appropriate today to join many of my fellow bloggers in looking back as the year exits and a new year begins. Each year is another adventure, another journey filled with many blessings, a gift for which I am grateful.
January of 2014 brought cold, snow and hoarfrost, and a few ventures out into the sunshine to explore.
In February we hunkered down inside and enjoyed the frosty views outside and the sunrises from the warmth of our home.
March brought packing for the cruise with the Artistic One, our Bon Voyage dinner and the cruise itelf.
In April we had daffodils in bloom and the return of the robins and hummingbirds.
May gave us crabapple blossoms, visits from the squirrels and girls’ week on the coast.
In June there was the cat in a hat and daytrips to Crater Lake and Westfir with the Artistic One and her Zoey
July brought Gep and Kat which meant time with some of my favorite people at home, on the coast and a road trip to the Portland Beer Fest
In August, Kat and the Artistic One goaded me into my first (and only) tattoo, we took road trips to some of our local scenic spots and we enjoyed glorious sunsets.
September arrived, bringing with it goldfinch at the feeder, bright leaves and a double rainbow.
Followed by October, of course, and a trip to the Mid-Hudson Valley of New York to visit a long-time friend
and some storm clouds when The Artistic One left us to begin a new life adventure in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Now we have a new place to visit!
November, nearing the year-end now, with deer in the back yard, a snowfall and Lily in the house finding warm spots for naps.
December, the culmination of 2014, a time for venturing forth to meet Gep and Kat in Vietnam for time on a tropical beach. Except it is not the season for tropical, but it was the season for great fun, good food, fishes nibbling on the feet and loving time together.
As we enter another year, I wish for each and every one of you a year filled with enough. Blessings and love to all of you.
