Another week, time to share with Cee.
1. If you had to describe your day as a traffic sign, what would it be? “Bump”. Oregon seems to have a penchant for using as few words as possible in their road signs, and husband and I used to laugh about it as we drove along the roads. “Congestion” and “Bump” were two of our favorites, so I guess I would say “Bump” would be descriptive about most days because there are always bumps. It would be boring if it was all smooth sailing, wouldn’t it?
2. Is your hair short (total neck and ear showing), medium (covering ears and neck), long (below shoulders), extra long (at least halfway down your back) or bald? Short, with not a lot of choices since I had chemotherapy over five years ago and the hair just never came back the way it was. I must confess, however, that even if I had hair like I used to, it would be short. I prefer it that way and I am not one for spending much time fussing with it.
3. When you are with your friends, do your interactions include much touching—for example, hugging, kissing, rough housing, rubbing backs? Would you like to have more of this? (Note: the answers may vary depending on where you live on this wonderful planet.) My family was not one for being touchy-feely, so hugs and touches do not come naturally to me. My friends now are more that way, so greetings and see-you-laters are often accompanied by a hug – which I enjoy. Sometimes touches to the arm when we talk – that human contact that reaffirms the emotional contact.
4. What do you feel is the most enjoyable way to spend $100? I think an afternoon or evening out with friends. Maybe a movie, maybe just a meal, maybe shopping.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I am grateful for the support and help of friends as I dealt with the old van needing a doctor/get a newer car decision. I am looking forward to another week of working in the yard and spending time with those friends and my furry girls.

Given that we are in pothole city now, we tend to laugh at the “bump” signs we see. I wonder exactly to which bump they refer. Or if they left either an “s” or a “y” off the end…
I think I’d choose a curvy sign, because I never end up exactly where I thought I would – life never follows my plan exactly; instead, it curves around, often happily surprising me 🙂
The rest of my answers would be almost identical to yours, except my hair is long. The tending to it, though, I still don’t do much of.
Loving your spring flowers, especially the pulmonaria. We are starting to see the barest signs of life outside, despite still having a largely white landscape…

Oregon doesn’t do signs right at all. I like your bump. I’m thrilled you are finally getting some flowers, I bet if looks gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing Carol.

Carol – “Bump” is a great single-word descriptor! Like you, I’m a no-muss-no-fuss kind of gal so short silver hair is the way for me to go. As always, you photographs are stunning. I’m particularly drawn to the two birds atop their wooden home.

Yes, I guess life would be boring without any bumps, although some of the bumps are no fun at all. Your yard is looking very springlike these days! I’m sure it’s very cheery there in Oregon. 🙂

Ah – I love the photos of your flowers. We are still in the “melting” stage of spring, so not there yet. Looking forward to this time next month though!

Wonderful photos Carol! Your purples are lovely. I’ve got nothing in bloom just yet. My daffodils are always very late, and I expect probably even later after the awful winter we had. The swallows are adorable too. Cool questions from Cee and answers from you. (Does she repeat questions sometimes? Some of the questions recently seem familiar to me)
