Share Your World – 2013 Week 34

Yesterday I was out and about in the big city across the mountains, so sharing my world had to wait until today. Here’s are Cee’s questions for this week:

1. If you were to move and came fully furnished with everything you ever wanted, list at least three things from your old house you wish to retain? (assume all personal items; photos, books, animals, etc. go with you) The house would have to be in neighborhood, or I wouldn’t be moving. Unless it was with my kids. What would I keep? Well, unless my kitchen stove was exactly like the LG I have now, it would go with me. Can I take my morning room? Or deck? Or does the new place have those already? Oh gee, I don’t know. It’s more the feel than the things about my home that I’m attached to, especially since my animals, clothes, computers and those things are already moved.

2. Is the glass half empty or half full? What is in the glass? Most days the glass is half full, but occasionally there will be a day when it’s half empty. What’s in it? Presuming we’re speaking metaphorically, my life. If we’re being literal, it depends upon the time of day.

3. What calms you down? Sitting quietly, either outside or by a window looking out into the yard. Spending time with my friends. A cup of tea or glass of wine. Maybe. Better when they’re with friends.

4. What individual item of food would you not eat, even if it was served to you at the Queen/President’s dinner table? (Something ordinary.) Anchovies. Absolutely no question. Or sardines. Anything smelling strongly of fishy is just not going to get into my system.

When the burning bush ignites

the Flame Maple begins to flicker

and the Autumn Joy Sedum shows its true colors, you know fall is here.

Now I’m off to share other bloggers’ worlds.

  1. “It’s more the feel than the things…”

    Amen siSTAR!

As usual, your answers are perfect! I agree with all of them so, of course, they’re perfect. 😀 Love the Autumn color shots. We’re a few weeks away from anything worth posting.

  3. Cee Neuner says:

such cool answers to this week’s theme!! Thanks for playing along.

  4. Peggy says:

Carol, the pictures are so pretty. I have a Chinese Maple that is very similar to your Flame Maple. No anchovies, really??? Try them once.

  5. Trisha says:

My pictures of the Autumn Joy Sedum never turn out as well as yours!

  6. pattisj says:

I’m with you on #4. Pretty fall colors, thanks for sharing.

  7. Heather says:

Anchovies. Ick. I tried smelt when we first moved here, because “When in Rome,” and all that. Never again.
As always, fun answers that you refuse to let nail you down 🙂

  8. D. A. Wolf says:

It’s been much, much too long since I visited. (Life has a way of taking us down its own paths, doesn’t it…)

As always, your images allow me a deep breath of beauty.

(And that anchovie thing? Never did get it.)

  9. Startling, beautiful photos, as usual. I cannot picture you anything BUT calm. Have a great weekend, Carol.

  10. Kathy says:

As always, enjoyed reading your answers. I know what you mean about anchovies. Did eat sardines for the first time this year and discovered they weren’t as bad as I thought. They didn’t sound appealing but the actual taste of them wasn’t bad. And you’re right about the tea or wine–best shared with friends.

  11. Angelia Sims says:

I can’t believe the leaves are changing already. And the burning bush is spectacular! We have the same dislike of fishy fish stuff. If it smells or tastes like fish, I don’t like it or want it. BUT Sushi is the exception. 🙂

I'd love to hear from you!
