A few nights ago I took Rebel out with me to play with the moon and the clouds surrounding it. It seems I can capture moon with shadows, but no clouds – or I can capture clouds with bright light in the midst of them. One thing for certain – I need to take the time to take the tripod outside with me when I want to play with the moon.
I want to thank all of you for your kind words and thoughts after yesterday’s post. Sometimes I need to just wallow, get it out of my system – akin to a good cry, you know. It doesn’t change the circumstances, but it does help my ability to cope. And cope I must, because the best we can hope for is some alleviation of pain. The cancer is not going to go away.
Thank you all! Have a very Happy Easter filled with enough.
Happy Easter, Carol. You are allowed to wallow whenever you want to! I like your photos of the moon. Like my experimentation of photographing the moon last week, I guess I just takes practice… and a tripod appears to be a necessity. Best of luck to you! And I’m keeping you and your husband in my prayers.

Thank you, Tamara. At least you were smart enough to arm yourself with your tripod before you started!

The moon can be a difficult thing to photograph. I find it especially hard in full dark, unless you’re simply capturing the moon and none of her surroundings. Nice job getting some details on the first pic π
Since Easter has passed, I’ll wish you a Happy April Fool’s Day, with just enough shenanigans for fun π

“Shooting the moon” is not an easy task. It’s become an obsession of mine to get a good moon shot. I’ve yet to really be successful. And, as for the wallowing…wallow away. We’re all here for you.

Your moon photos are lovely Carol, even when the moon isn’t visible, but we know it is there shining through the clouds. π
