Share Your World – 2013 Week 1

I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date – but it is not yet another Monday, so I think I am not too late. Cee has started the New Year right with a new series of Share Your World questions. I have been busy enjoying my holidays and my kids, but I am taking a few minutes here to play.

1. Do you prefer shopping or going to a park? Going to a park, unless the shopping is just a meandering through some stores looking at things just because I want to. That happens rarely, but going to a park or to anyplace outside with foliage, birds, maybe animals, water, sand – anyplace that isn’t crowded with people – will always be best.

2. Music or silence while working? Most often silence, although sometimes music is a good thing. I play my music when I am driving alone in the car quite often, although there too sitting in the silence with just my thoughts is wonderful.

3. If you could have three wishes granted for you alone, what would they be? For me alone? Several more years of good health, good friends and new experiences. Lower costs of living, or maybe having a “just because” fairy deposit a monthly stipend under my pillow – like the tooth fairy, but without requiring a trade for a tooth. But you said three wishes – just for me – I dunno. That husband would miraculously be healthy I think. That could be just for me, couldn’t it?

4. Are you a collector of anything? Oh, have I ever. I am a person of shifting interests, which means over the years I have collected many things. For awhile, clown figurines. For awhile, anything decorative in blue and white. Rocks from places we visit, mostly stones from the beach. Whenever I start a new hobby, magazines about that hobby. I am now trying to thin out, so I resist souveniers when I go somewhere and take a lot of pictures – like Cee, I think pictures are the very best souveniers of special days and every day of life.
