Share Your World – 2013 Week 1

I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date – but it is not yet another Monday, so I think I am not too late. Cee has started the New Year right with a new series of Share Your World questions. I have been busy enjoying my holidays and my kids, but I am taking a few minutes here to play.

1. Do you prefer shopping or going to a park? Going to a park, unless the shopping is just a meandering through some stores looking at things just because I want to. That happens rarely, but going to a park or to anyplace outside with foliage, birds, maybe animals, water, sand – anyplace that isn’t crowded with people – will always be best.

2. Music or silence while working? Most often silence, although sometimes music is a good thing. I play my music when I am driving alone in the car quite often, although there too sitting in the silence with just my thoughts is wonderful.

3. If you could have three wishes granted for you alone, what would they be? For me alone? Several more years of good health, good friends and new experiences. Lower costs of living, or maybe having a “just because” fairy deposit a monthly stipend under my pillow – like the tooth fairy, but without requiring a trade for a tooth. But you said three wishes – just for me – I dunno. That husband would miraculously be healthy I think. That could be just for me, couldn’t it?

4. Are you a collector of anything? Oh, have I ever. I am a person of shifting interests, which means over the years I have collected many things. For awhile, clown figurines. For awhile, anything decorative in blue and white. Rocks from places we visit, mostly stones from the beach. Whenever I start a new hobby, magazines about that hobby. I am now trying to thin out, so I resist souveniers when I go somewhere and take a lot of pictures – like Cee, I think pictures are the very best souveniers of special days and every day of life.

Today’s photo gallery is a series entitled “When a Friend Comes Over to Play”. Click on any photo for a full-sized slideshow.

  3. cobbies69 says:

great answers, I have a pop story collecttion of magazines from the seventies completes set. and in proper book now.. and small brass clocks..:)

  4. dawnkinster says:

I agree with just about everything you responded. Happy New Year Carol….I wish your husband health as well.

  5. Cee Neuner says:

Carol, you were not wishy washy at all. I loved your answers and your reasons. I guess that what made these questions so tempting a couple of them could be answered both ways.

  6. Lisa says:

I think many of us have the same wish as your #3 (or maybe it’s #1). Love the two friends playing in the floor! What fun.

  7. Joanne says:

Always wishing you many miracles Carol. 🙂

  8. As far as music or silence, I’m with you, Carol. If I have to concentrate on anything, I can’t have any music playing. Except in the car where I know I have to concentrate on where I’m driving but I don’t really have to think. Wishing for your husband’s miraculous health is definitely just for you. Of course it’s for him too, but as he’s your partner, it IS a wish for you! As far as collections, I too can relate. Shifting interests, materials needed for the shifting interests, and books and magazines about those interests. All those things still clutter my house in the USA and will need to be sorted when I return. I agree with you and Cee, pictures are the best souvenirs!!

I'd love to hear from you!
