Share Your World: Week 47

You may think you’re seeing this post on a Monday, because that’s the day Cee posts the questions that we are to answer to share a bit more about ourselves. But I have already posted today, and I will be busy tomorrow, so this really is a post for Tuesday. Just use your imagination – just as each of us who attempts to answer these questions must do.

1. Would you accept $10,000 to shave your head and continue your normal activities without a hat or wig while not explaining the reason for your haircut? Ha! Easy, this one is. Already been there, done that. The answer, then, is yes, I would. After all, I paid to lose all my hair five years ago and it has never grown back like real hair – it’s now thin and fine, rather like baby hair. Admittedly, initially I did wear wigs and hats, but both irritate me, and are much too warm in warm weather, so I gave that up. I do wear a hat when it is cold now, because fine thin hair does not to a lot for holding the head heat in.

2. Which of the following restrictions could you best tolerate: leaving your country permanently, or never leaving the state or area in which you live now? My first reaction was to say leaving my country permanently, because there are other countries I would very much like to visit. Then reality set in, and like Cee said, Oregon has everything to offer – and it’s very unlikely the budget will allow much overseas travel anyway. So I’d go with staying in this state.

3. If you had to spend one weekend alone in a single store but could remove nothing, which store would you pick? So, do they have furniture stores with wireless internet? If yes, and if I could pack snacks and meals, then I’d agree with Cee – again – and take a furniture store. At first I thought a store like Fred Meyer’s because they sell furniture, groceries and everything else – then I was reminded that she said I could remove nothing, and I figured eating groceries would be removing something, as would borrowing yarn and needles to occupy my hands. I’m not really a shopper, so spending a whole weekend in any kind of store really sounds like torture to me.

4. If you could have a servant come to your house every day for one hour, what would you have them do? Three days they could cook – four days they could clean. When they cooked, it would be quantities of food that would provide leftovers for the next day. I’d do some cleaning, but they could do the stuff like cleaning refrigerator, oven, cupboards, etc. And dusting. I hate dusting!

There’s an incredibly stupid movie on our TV just now – it’s an Amazon Prime instant video movie, which makes it more tolerable because it’s costing nothing for husband to watch it. I’ll not give you the title – suffice it to say it’s one of the action/adventure movies with the greatest of actors – you know, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Stratham and the illustrious former governor of California. I’m so happy to have had this blog post to focus on.
