Share Your World: Week 46

It is Monday – I know this, because Cee has posted her Share Your World questions once again. She likes to challenge us to put our thinking caps on, I think, so although my thinking cap seems to not fit too well these days, here goes nothing!

1. Do you prefer eating the frosting of the cake or the cupcake first? I’m not a big frosting fan, so usually I’ll eat the cake and eat just enough frosting to be polite – if it’s cake I’ve made at home, it probably doesn’t have frosting.

2. What is your favorite cheese? Cheese. That’s it, my favorite is cheese. Although you could probably eliminate limburger and I’m not really a Swiss cheese fan. Otherwise, if it’s cheese I’ll probably eat it. Plain, with crackers, melted on other food, on a sandwich, anyway it comes. My most favorite sandwich is grilled with cheddar and sliced tomatoes.

3. What is your biggest fear or phobia? (no photos please) This is a sure indicator that I am no longer a young chick, but I think now my biggest fear or phobia would be falling and breaking something. I’m not crazy about bugs or slithery things, but I don’t fear them. I guess my other big fear or phobia would be the fear of Alzheimers – I can’t think of anything worse. Oh boy, my answer to this one is a big downer, isn’t it? Comes with aging.

4. Would you dare to sleep in haunted house overnight? Absolutely – assuming the haunters weren’t evil with a history of killing and maiming. I’ve watched a few ghostly, haunted house horror movies you know. But if they were friendlies, or at least nonviolent, I think it would be very interesting.

And there must be photos, so I’m going to add some more from the Poland trip. Heading back to Warsaw from Kazimierz Dolny, we stopped at the remains of what appears to have been an old fortress. That’s all the information I have unfortunately, but I hope you’ll enjoy the pictures even without a history.

Perhaps you can spend your haunted night in that old fortress 🙂
I like frosting, but just a bit. If someone else made it, I definitely eat the cake first and then am too full for frosting. If I made it, I made the frosting just the way I like it.
I think it’s interesting how our biggest fears are closely tied to our age, and I think anything truly scary (i.e. emotionally, I suppose) is depressing if we venture too far into those thoughts.

  2. jelillie says:

    Loved the photos. Looks haunted!

  3. Loved your answers — especially about CHEESE

  4. Your cheese answer is perfect, Carol. I agree wholeheartedly! As a matter of fact, I could just copy and paste your answers to #1 and #2 directly into my own post! Ha! Fear of Alzheimer’s…that’s a big one. But I would NOT want to sleep in a haunted house. I can never even watch horror movies of any kind because I have too many nightmares. 🙂

Love your photos of the old fortress in Poland too…

  5. Kathy says:

You’re probably not a swiss cheese fan because of the holes in the cheese, Carol. (You just want more cheese!) Funny last picture especially. 🙂 How cute! Or how scary…?

  6. Cee Neuner says:

I love your cheese answer. That really is mine too, except I do like swiss cheese. Anyhow, you photos are gorgeous as always. I’ll eat your frosting, providing it’s not sickenly sweet. Have a great week!

  7. Robin says:

Hit the cheese answer on the head! And, that last photo had me laughing 🙂

  8. Lisa says:

Ummmm, I’ve been known to eat the frosting straight out of the can. Cheese? Yes please, and make it sharp cheddar. I guess my phobias would be being trapped in a fire or in a car underwater. Not sure about the haunted house thing. Maybe, but not by myself! 🙂

  9. Carol excellent SYW post and I so love your photos.
Since i did not participate again this week I have to tell you here that i am not a frosting fan either. Too sweet and has an awful mouth-feel to me I am also not a cheese eater Seems I am a picky eater but not so much.~Its a texture thing..

I’ll be with you in the haunted house, or castle. We have not a thing to fear…..

I'd love to hear from you!
