This week, Ailsa of Where’s my Backpack has issued her Travel Theme Challenge: Bright. She posted some gorgeous examples of bright photos, challenging all of us to see what we could do. When a challenge is issued, what can one do but give it a go?
A restaurant front in Beijing, all lit up to attract dinner customers, kind of like light attracts flying things.
Roses and water lily, photos taken at the Chinese Gardens in Portland, Oregon.
This is my favorite photo, also taken at the Chinese Gardens. This little girl is dressed in bright colors, but that little face with so much expression is, I think, the perfect example of bright.
Sweet! Love that last picture best of all, and the great caption to go with it!

They’re all great choices for “bright,” but I agree, the little girl’s expression is perfectly bright!

Oh yes, very bright! I feel much brighter, just looking at your pics. At this time of year, when the world goes black and white and gray, we need color. Thank you, Ms. Carol.

Love your pics. Think the little girl is a perfect take on Brightness – not only the colours she wears but the brightness in her eyes and expression.
