Share Your World – Week 43

I almost missed this one this week because apparently I read my blogs too early in the day yesterday and today I am reading late in the day. But yes, it is time again to share our worlds with Cee and really anyone else who cares to join in or just to read what we share.

This week’s questions:

1. If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get? I think it would depend on the day, perhaps even the moment, my mood, how hungry I was. In the summer, it would be salad fixings. Some wintry days, chili with crackers. Food is not terribly important to me and usually I eat because one must in order to survive.

2. What is set as the background on your computer? Right now it’s some of the pictures I took at the wetlands. When I tire of those, I’ll pick some others. I have a widescreen 27″ monitor on my desktop PC, so it’s a perfect frame for photos.

3. Would you rather swim, dance, walk, weight lift or jog? Don’t even mention jog or weight lift in conjunction with my name. When I was younger, I would have said swim. Not dance, because I am not graceful by any means, and have no sense of rhythm. Now, I think it would be walk, because I like to have the big furry girls with me.

4. Where do you hide junk when people come over? Back in the days, I always seemed to have a room that collected junk. Husband is a bit of a neat freak though, so now I try to keep junk picked up, although at times my desk gets piled rather high with things that need my attention, or I think might need my attention, but that I don’t care to attend to now. However, my house is probably the most cluttered of any of our friends. But then again, when they come over they’re supposed to be coming to see us, not critique my neatness. Or lack thereof.

This is a photo of the label on a bottle of specialty beer that Gep bought when he was here this summer. I thought it was a great label, hence the photo.

How is your world today? Fantastic, I hope.

I like walking too. Better to see stuff I want to take photos of. 🙂

  2. Since bicycling was not a choice, I’d take walking first, then swimming.

My husband and Gep would get along well. Len (my husband) recently discovered Milk Stout beer by Left Hand Brewing Company. He’s absolutely confident it’s the address for Heaven 🙂

  3. Heather says:

It wasn’t until I learned about over-tasters and under-tasters that I could understand how someone could not just love food. I don’t obsess about it, and it doesn’t control my life, but I thoroughly enjoy building a new dish and trying new flavor combinations and lingering over old favorites (which does include chili and crackers!).
I like to run and swim, but I’d have to choose walking, too. So many great conversations while walking just couldn’t have happened over a run/jog.
The beer looks interesting. I’d give it a teenie-tiny sip 😉

  4. I’m like you, Carol. Love to walk mainly because I can’t do any of the others!! I used to jog but now have a partial knee replacement so can’t and I, like you, have no sense of rhythm for dance. I do love to eat though, and it’s just not to survive! I LOVE food; hence the constant battle with my weight. 🙂 So Oregon brews the Dead Guy Ale? Is it pretty stout?

  5. Cee Neuner says:

I agree with you…the food could change at any given moment. Thanks so much for conitnuing to be a wonderful part of SYW.

  6. Joanne says:

Ah yes, walking is the best way to not only get exercise, but an opportunity to take photos!

I'd love to hear from you!
