This Week’s Photo Challenge is Contrast. I needed a little time to find some pictures that seemed to fit that category, and here they are:
The sun rose over the hill, beaming a contrasting bright light through an opening in the dark clouds.
Taken in the Chinese Gardens in Portland, Oregon; the juxtaposition of the old against the new.
Black dog in white snow.

You have some nice variations on the theme of ‘contrast’ here! Simple black on white, (and warm against cold) in the dog pic, then colours, eras, and texture in the buildings, and of course, the stunning cloud shot – all air, water and light, but some great movement, and lovely contrasts in that one!

Very lovely! I like that the second one spoke of a different kind of contrast, but, gosh darn, your dog is so cute! (Don’t remember his/her name but do pat his/her head for me, please, until his/her tail wags.)

Portland looks so beautiful. We have had loads of wwoofers over the years from Portland, and I feel as if I am beginning to get a feel for the place – just a little! They are all mad keen on their city, and I am just longing to visit that wonderful bookshop, that has old and new books all in together. It sounds fantastic, and massive. And (ref your post on chin hair) I’ve forgotten the name of it!
