It appears that winter was just waiting to appear.Waiting until we were lulled into a false sense of security. Waiting until we were dreaming about green and crocus and daffodils popping up. Waiting. I’m certain this is a conspiracy. A terrorist plot. And the terrorist be Mother Nature. Yesterday morning we got up to – SNOW! More snow. Didn’t we just do this a few days ago?
Lily said “I’m tough, I want to go out. I’ll not let a little bit of snow deter me”. If Lily goes out, Shasta must go out. And out they went. Oh. My. The snow was as deep as Lily’s legs are long.
Silly girls. I stayed in and watched. There was no reason for me to venture out. Shoveling could wait. Absolutely nothing required my attention out there.
After all, I had my newsstand inside. I had my warmth inside. I had my coffee inside. The beauty of the snow (even though I’m now ready for spring, the snow is beautiful) can be enjoyed quite nicely from inside. Inside, looking out.
It wasn’t long before Lily and Shasta decided I had a point. Inside is good.
Now the forecast says another storm is to arrive Tuesday night. Maybe it will veer off another direction. We can hope.
Oh yeah, I’d rather be inside looking out!

They look like such good friends 🙂 We, too, have decided shoveling can wait. If the GTI can make it up the road, it can make it out the driveway. It’ll melt sometime, right?

Lilly and Shasta look like they might be just a wee bit spoiled… and loved! Lucky them. 😉

The snow looks beautiful! (But it always looks more that way to me when I’m inside rather than out in it!
Your news stand looks far more welcoming!

Nice writing, nice photos. Especially like the one on the chair, all they need is a cup of tea.

Wow … it looks beautiful, but I don’t know that I would have felt any urge to get out frolicking in the snow either.
We got nothing! On Friday night, there were all kinds of red weather warnings up, and on the radio the told people to stay at home Saturday if they didn’t really have to be somewhere. Woke up on Saturday morning to …. nothing! It rained a little overnight, windy ..that was it. I don’t know what happened to our anticipated winter storm …it must have dissipated somewhere on the way.

It snowed here Friday night for about 15 minutes! Just enough to excite the Floridian who is back for a visit! As soon as she’s gone, I’ll be hoping for a snowstorm that keeps me home from work!
