Jumping on Someone Else’s Bandwagon

I just found this wagon, so perhaps I can be excused for being so tardy. I didn’t even find it on my own, but I followed http://peg7.wordpress.com Pegbur here. This looked like fun, so I hopped on over to Cee’s Life Photography to check it out. And here I am, six weeks late. Better late than never? We shall see.

Week 1:

What is your favorite color? Used to always answer this with blue. But now it varies. I find myself drawn to lots of colors, shades of blue included. But also reds and rusts. My closet is a rainbow really, but in brights not pastels.

Music or silence while working? Depends on the kind of work. I’m a lover of silence, but I always love lots of kinds of music from country/pop (not the old nasally “poor me” country), some blues, some pop, no rap.

Do you prefer shopping or going to a park? Going to the park. No question. Hate shopping, although online shopping is tolerable.

Your favorite place within 2 hours of your home? Oh gosh, what’s within two hours of my home? Country. Beautiful scenery. Within four hours I would say the coast.

Week 2:

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? The fine arts of photography; aperture, shutter speeds, that kind of good stuff. Foreign languages. If I could travel to other countries.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Pay off my mortgage. Travel, first to the British Isles, then to western Europe, where I’d love to just drive and linger where I felt like it. Then buy a motorhome and travel the U.S. again.

Are you a morning or night person? Used to be a night person. Things change when you get older and I have become more of a morning person.

Where were you born? In frigid North Dakota.

Week 3:

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be? Right where I am, here in south-central Oregon. At least for the summers and part of the winters. But I would love to have a second home on the Oregon coast. Or any coast.

What is your favorite comfort food? Chocolate.

Coffee or Tea? Coffee. The only tea I care for is Chai, and I’m not sure that’s a real tea.

What is your favorite TV show of all time ie you’ve seen them all, can watch it over and over again and quote lines from it? I’m with Cee here, it’s undoubtedly West Wing. Golden Girls was another favorite.

Week 4:

How do you write computer, longhand or other? Computer. The thoughts seem to come more readily as I type. Whether or not they make sense is a whole ‘nother story.

Favorite subject to photograph? Write? Or Cook? Photograph and write – things around me, scenery, my pets, my kids. Cook? I’d rather not, thank you.

What would you name the autobiography of your life? Oh gosh. Maybe
“Wanderings of an Elusive Mind, Most Often Attached to an Elusive Body”. That’s tough.

What was your favorite toy as a child . . . and now? My imagination.

Week 5:

What do you usually think about right before falling asleep? Usually something really exciting, like
“got to put my Nook down, my eyes are not open anymore.”

Do you believe in extraterrestrials or life on other planets? I think so. But friendly ones, ones that are smart enough to stay away from us and this planet – the planet and the people doing their best to destroy themselves.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go? I think I answered that one above somewhere – but it would be the British Isles first, western Europe next, then wherever struck my fancy.

If you could have 3 wishes granted for you alone, what would they be? Health for a long life, sufficient money to live that life in reasonable comfort, and the same for my family and friends.

Week 6:

Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster? No I don’t, unless it’s taking wayyy too long to get there. Then I get impatient.

What type of pets do you have? Any others you would like to have? Two dogs, two cats. I think that’s enough.

What was the last film that really moved/disturbed/thrilled you and why? The last film that really moved me was “The Blind Side”. Before that it was “Patch Adams”. The last one that really disturbed me was “Mississippi Burning”, many years ago.

What sound or sounds do you love? Birds singing, laughter. The sound of silence.

Okay, now I’m caught up and ready for Monday for Week 7.

What fun! I don’t think I’ll jump on the bandwagon, but I’ve enjoyed your posts for the weeks so far, and it’s fun to think about how I’d answer anyway 🙂
