Share Your World – 2013 Week 42

Another week, another challenge from Cee. I have only glanced at the questions, so I’m not sure how this will go.

1. If you were the original designer of one existing corporate logo, which one would you select? The Apple logo. It’s so clean, sharp and memorable – pure class.

2. If you could have your own TV channel, what would it be about? I think it would have to have a variety of types of programming – some family shows, some comedy, some music, some drama. Absolutely NO PORN, no Rush Limbaugh, no radicals. It would be a happy channel. A world where we could all play ostrich and doing so wouldn’t cause any harm.

3. If you were on an small island, who would you want to be with? And where is it? How big is it? My kids, some select friends for each of us, our cats and dogs. I think it should be in the Mediterranean Sea – maybe 5 miles across and long. It would need to have a good boat dock with a boat that would take us to shore for provisions and for touring. It would have to have broadband internet – TV would be less critical because there’s not a lot you can’t get on the internet.

4. At what age did you become an adult? What makes you think I’ve become an adult? Okay, so I think I am, and I think I started to become an adult when I first became a mother at age 25. It took several years though to really reach maturity and sometimes I do wonder if I’m there yet.

The Christmas Cactus and Cyclamen are in full bloom, adding a great deal of cheer to the morning room.

The Plumeria the Artistic One brought back from Hawaii shows the tiniest sign of awakening.

And the morning moon smiled down on us.

I wish all of you in the USA a very happy Thanksgiving. For all of you, hug your loved ones a couple of extra times this week and give thanks for your lives. I wish everyone a life of enough.

  1. Carol – My husbands works for Apple so I especially resonated with that particular answer. I additionally relate with your answer to the “age I became an adult” question. Like fine wine, the maturity aspect take a bit of timeā€¦

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Love your answers as always, Carol. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I’m so happy to be home for my first Thanksgiving in 3 years! :-)

I agree with your tv channel. ;)

  4. Heather says:

Cee always asks such good questions – that last one’s a great one! I think I started becoming an adult shortly after I turned 18. Tony and I got married and then moved 1,200 miles away into our first apartment where we started college.
If you start that channel, I might have to get cable. Unless you air it on Netflix :)

  5. Cee Neuner says:

Carol I hope you have a restful and peaceful Thanksgiving. I like your TV channel.

  6. Kathy says:

Fascinating questions and answers, as always. I started to become an adult when first married at 21 and then began to grow up with the birth of our first at age 24. Really began to get a clue at age 30 (it felt like waking up) and then have continued to learn something every year since then. However, always hoping that something child-like and innocent still exists as well, and try to foster that. Enjoyed reading your answers.

  7. Angelia Sims says:

Your Christmas cacti blooms are gorgeous!! And I think you are very young at heart and maybe have some more growing to do. :-)

  8. dawnkinster says:

Hope you had a good day today Carol…and that you have a good tomorrow too!

  9. Karma says:

I always find your answers to Cee’s questions very interesting! I’m glad you had a good Thanksgiving!

  10. I think I want to watch your TV channel. Real entertainment. LIfe’s tough enough without adding nasty entertainment to it.

I'd love to hear from you!
