I Cannot Promise Regularity

Tuesday morning the Kat arrived for her summer visit – five wonderful weeks to play, laze, chat, sit in companionable silence – whatever the mood or need dictate. Sunday approaching the Gep should arrive – for how long I am not sure but my hope is that he will be here until it is time for him to leave for Muscat, Oman. Add to what already joins me on my deck the Kat and the Gep and beer or wine or just time, and my heaven becomes heaven HD. The diamonds in my crown.

What might result from that is a lack of reliability for me posting, reading or commenting on blogs. I seem to be unable to maintain what is my normal schedule when they are here, which is not to indicate they create any real interference with that schedule. I am still up earlier with the four-legged girls than anyone else in the household, and I could still follow my routine. Yet, for some unknown reason, I seem to lack that ability. Not all behavior can be explained. Some behaviors I will not even attempt to explain.

I am going to share some photos with you today that I hope will offend no one. They are what I call the “Mating Ballet” – the pair of swallows that seem to have been trying for offspring for quite some time with no apparent success. But still they are trying. I am hoping they finally get those eggs going, because the house they have chosen is the camera house, and my voyeurism shows again. I do not view these photos as voyeurism, however. After all, actions performed in public view must be meant to be seen, yes? So – if you feel the possibility of offense, please stop reading now. Please click that little “x” button to close this post, forgive my transgressions, and go on to things more comfortable for you. With my very best wishes.

I wish you luck and the very best relationship, Little Juliet and Little Romeo. I hope for you a happy future, quite unlike that of the literary Romeo and Juliet. If eggs then babies appear in your nest, I shall ask your permission before I publish those photos.

Isn’t nature magnificent?!

Summer seems to do that to my schedule. Forget about anything approaching normalcy when we’re off visiting or hosting friends/family. Hope you have a great time with your children!

Go have fun with the kids….those times are so special…there can’t be too many of them. We’ll be fine….but we’ll miss you!

I’m not offended! Have a wonderful time with your kids. No explanations needed. (Ha! Said by the one who ALWAYS provides explanations.) I truly enjoyed the visit by K and her boyfriend, but missed having alone-together time with just my daughter. But the delight in her eyes as she showed her boyfriend her homeland was beautiful. Happy July, Ms. Carol!

Right there with ya, sisa! Have a fabulous time! I know I am. :-)

I'd love to hear from you!
